Pfunanani Enterprise and Development Project

Pfunanani Enterprise and Development Project

The Pfunanani Enterprise Development Project is a two-year programme, beginning in September 2014 and ending in August 2016 aimed at creating 120 permanent jobs, 240 temporary jobs (360 jobs in total) and capacitating 60 small businesses.

The project is being implemented in 11 villages closest to the Sabi Sand Wildtuin border which are part of existing partner programmes.

These businesses will receive a comprehensive training and support package which will help them realise their full potential. This includes:

  • Business management and computer training
  • Individualised technical training
  • Workplace experience
  • An introduction to eco-tourism and the wildlife economy
  • Mentorship
  • Sales and marketing support

This program was implemented by a collaboration of Buffelshoek Trust, University of Johannesburg, Sabi Sand Wildtuin and Sabi Sand Pfunanani Trust

The Sabi Sand Pfunanani trust would like to acknowledge and thank the funders that have made our participation on the program possible: Jobs fund, esiDulini Trust and individual donors who have each generously contributed.
