Huntington High School
Huntington Village is home to over 500 learners who must travel to another village to attend high school. Huntington has a local primary school, but there is no facility to support the children once they’re ready for high school. The community has approached the Trust to assist with meeting this need.
Working together with our implementation partner, Africa Foundation, and generous donors: Adopt-a-School, Sabi Sabi, and Macsteel − funds have been raised for the basic school infrastructure. The community has made land available for the school and cleared the area for construction. Final agreements are being concluded with the Department of Education. We hope to see this long-awaited school become a reality very soon.
Ongoing support is needed to implement and improve the school facilities to enable greater learning opportunities for students and make it a sustainable educational environment for years to come.
